Our baristas also have access to free coffee, tea, and food whenever they are on shift, enabling them to build camaraderie among their colleagues. Responsibilities: Use barista equipment to prepare coffee and other drinks. Create eye-catching coffee art. Provide customers with excellent customer service. Answer customers' questions about the products you are serving them. Clearly communicate the menu items and prices to customers. Make recommendations to customers about which menu items to order based on their preferences and dietary needs. Have a good memory for customers' orders. Be on time for work. Experience Previous experience in the food industry or café environment is preferred but not required. Basic math skills are essential for cash handling and retail math calculations. Familiarity with POS systems; experience with POS is a plus. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele. Time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours. Cafecito Social is looking for an opening shift barista who can run the morning independently. Be at the shop by 6 AM, set up the bar, make great drinks, keep things clean and stocked until noon. Same days, same hours, every week. More fill in shifts are also available. You need at least 6 months of barista experience. We'll train you on our menu, but you need to know your way around a machine. You need to be reliable and punctual. This is a small team and every shift matters. If we can't count on you at 6 AM, this isn't the right fit. Required: Wed-Sun availability. As Barista, you will be the front line of product and service excellence that we aim to provide. You will greet customers, take orders, and prepare and serve drinks. You will also maintain a clean and well-stocked workspace and dining area, update displays, and continuously expand your knowledge of beverage quality controls, preparation methods, and presentation. At Powerhouse, you will also work closely with the Market Manager to ensure the market is well stocked and orders are received in a timely fashion. Looking for a Part Time Barista Saturday and Sunday and two weekdays (changes every week) 6am-2pm. Split of all daily tips. Brand new coffee shop- tips normally amount to an additional $50/day per employee. Potential for a lot more as we are brand new! MUST have Food Protection certificate, know how to make standard coffee drinks (lattes, cappuccino, espresso, drip coffee, specialty lattes, etc) and latte art. Creativity is a plus!
