Duties Perform comprehensive auto body repairs including surface preparation, sanding, masking, and dent removal to restore vehicles to factory standards. Utilize hand tools, power tools, grinders, and airless paint spraying equipment to apply primers, paints, coatings, and finishes with precision. Prepare surfaces meticulously through sanding, buffing, and automotive surface preparation techniques to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Operate automotive buffing machines and detailing tools to achieve a smooth, high-quality finish on painted surfaces. Manage auto restoration projects by assessing damage, estimating repair scope, and executing repairs efficiently while maintaining quality standards. Follow safety protocols diligently by using respiratory protection and other PPE during spray painting and surface preparation processes. Assist with auto glass replacement or repair when necessary and support vehicle maintenance tasks as part of the overall repair process. Requirements Proven experience in auto body repair or auto restoration within a dealership or collision center environment. Strong welding skills combined with mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, grinders, sanders, buffing machines, and spray guns for painting and coating applications. Knowledge of automotive surface preparation techniques including masking, sanding, and priming. Experience with conventional spraying methods and airless paint spraying equipment for auto painting projects. Familiarity with automotive buffing, detailing, auto glass work, and heavy lifting required for handling large panels or parts. Ability to read auto estimating reports and communicate effectively with customers regarding repair processes. Mechanic experience is a plus—especially understanding vehicle maintenance procedures—along with dealership experience preferred. Position Summary The Junior Handyman will assist project managers and skilled tradespeople with various construction, maintenance, and finishing tasks on luxury custom home projects. This role is ideal for a dedicated, hardworking individual who is eager to learn, take direction, and develop hands-on skills in residential construction. The right candidate will take pride in their work and demonstrate reliability, initiative, and attention to detail. Previous construction experience is preferred but not required. Key Responsibilities • Assist with general construction and handyman tasks on active job sites., • Perform basic carpentry, drywall repairs, painting, caulking, and trim work., • Install hardware, fixtures, shelving, and other finish items., • Help maintain job site cleanliness, organization, and safety., • Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment., • Support subcontractors and skilled trades as needed., • Conduct punch-list and warranty work under supervision., • Perform minor repairs and adjustments to completed work., • Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively., • Identify and report quality control issues to supervisors., • Follow all company safety procedures and job site protocols., • Represent the company professionally when interacting with homeowners, designers, architects, and vendors. Qualifications (preferred but not required) • 1–2 years of experience in residential construction, handyman services, or a related field preferred but not required, • Basic knowledge of carpentry, painting, drywall, and general construction practices., • Ability to read a tape measure and use common hand and power tools., • Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail., • Willingness to learn luxury home construction standards and techniques., • Ability to work independently and as part of a team., • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation., • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and work in varying weather conditions. Preferred Skills • Experience working on high-end residential projects., • Basic understanding of blueprints and construction drawings., • Familiarity with punch-list completion and warranty service work., • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
