Looking for experienced barista for a new cafe in Chelsea. Full time / part time immediate start !

Cook: Complete food prep and quickly and consistently prepare menu items during service. Detailed instructions will be provided. Food handlers’ certificate required (or willingness to obtain within 2 weeks of hiring). Weekend availability is also required. Barista / Server: Prepare espresso drinks on a semi-automatic machine as well as prep / serve other beverages (i.e. chai). Interact with customers at the bar / counter to discuss menu items, take orders, and manage customer experience. Weekend availability preferred. We are looking for team members with NYC experience and a lot of enthusiasm! As a new establishment, we are excited to hire a founding team that will grow with us - we want you to help us create a comfortable and unforgettable customer experience and evolve our menu. Key Responsibilities Crafting Beverages: Prepare and serve a full range of coffee, espresso, tea, and other beverages to SEED Brklyn's exacting standards. This includes dialing in espresso, steaming milk, and creating latte art. Stellar Customer Service: Provide warm, friendly, and efficient service to all customers. Engage with guests, answer questions, and ensure their orders are accurate and delivered promptly. Cash Handling: Accurately process transactions using the POS system and manage cash drawer responsibly. Maintain Cleanliness & Health Code Standards: Consistently uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and organization throughout the cafe, including brewing equipment, service areas, and seating. Understand and adhere to all relevant health code regulations at all times. Reliability & Punctuality: Be a reliable team member, consistently arriving on time for shifts and demonstrating strong work ethic. Product Knowledge: Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of our coffee beans, beverage menu, and any food offerings to confidently assist customers. Team Collaboration: Work effectively with other baristas and team members to ensure smooth operations and a positive work environment. Inventory & Stocking: Assist with restocking supplies, maintaining inventory, and informing management of low stock. Qualifications Experience: 2-3 years of specialty coffee experience is required. You should be proficient in espresso preparation, milk steaming, and various brewing methods. Customer Service: Proven track record of providing stellar customer service in a fast-paced environment. Reliability: Demonstrated reliability and a strong sense of responsibility. Health & Safety: A thorough understanding of health code regulations related to food handling and cafe cleanliness. Food Handler's Certificate: Must possess a valid Food Handler's Certificate or be willing to obtain one upon employment. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Looking for two Barista’s in Greenpoint Brooklyn for a 7/15 start date. Must have Food handlers license (if you don’t have, you can get it in about 3 days by taking the online course). Shift is from 6:00 am - 2:00 pm. Pay is $19/hr + tips. Tips are only shared with one other employee, so great earning potential in a busy area. Must be able to make cappuccinos, lattes, espresso.
