Job DescriptionWhat a Day Looks Like You start your shift walking the production floor, listening for unusual sounds, scanning the EFCO work order ticketing system, and checking the Preventive Maintenance schedule. A call comes in from a packaging line—an unexpected stoppage. You respond, diagnose the fault, explain the repair plan and estimated downtime to Production and Maintenance Leadership, and set the line back on track. Throughout the day, you rotate between preventive tasks, utility checks, and precision repairs that keep our food manufacturing operation safe, compliant, and running smoothly. Core Impact • Keep production, facility, and utility assets in prime condition by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment in a food manufacturing setting., • Respond quickly to line calls; identify root causes; and clearly communicate repair status and expected downtime to both Production and Maintenance Leadership., • Execute preventive maintenance, lubrication, and inspections aligned with our Preventive Maintenance Program to drive reliability and reduce unplanned downtime., • Diagnose and correct mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and basic control system problems across production and facility machinery., • Safely dismantle, repair, adjust, and reassemble equipment, returning machinery to specification., • Evaluate replacement components for compliance with OEM specifications and manufacturer tolerances., • Support utilities and infrastructure, including HVAC, boilers, steam distribution, plumbing, electrical systems, and the building itself., • Plan and coordinate repair and installation work to minimize production disruptions., • Champion safety, product quality, GMP, and regulatory compliance; keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean and orderly., • Verify that production lines are free of tools and equipment before any startup or restart after maintenance., • Accurately complete work orders, logs, and related documentation in the EFCO work order ticketing system., • Track parts and materials used; communicate replenishment needs to Maintenance Leadership., • Participate in training and provide hands-on support to Maintenance and Production teams to meet business demands., • Immediately report unusual conditions, safety issues, or any actual or potential facility damage.Skills & Qualifications, • Broad understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and basic control systems in an industrial environment., • Proven ability to safely troubleshoot and repair production and facility equipment such as conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, and packaging machinery., • Working knowledge of industrial electrical: low-voltage (sensors, photo eyes, relays) and high-voltage (motors, panels, disconnects)., • Hands-on experience with preventive maintenance and lubrication practices., • Foundational knowledge of HVAC systems, boilers, steam lines, and plant utilities., • Capability to safely disassemble, inspect, adjust, and reassemble machinery and equipment., • Basic welding, fabrication, and hand-tool proficiency suited to maintenance tasks., • Comfort reading and following work orders, safety guidance, and SOPs., • Clear, timely communication with Maintenance and Production personnel., • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while following escalation procedures., • Competent operation of tools, test instruments, diagnostic gear, and forklifts (with training/certification).Physical & Work Environment, • Stand or walk for the full shift; work in cold or freezer areas when required., • Bend, crouch, kneel, reach, and stoop; frequently lift up to 50 pounds., • Sufficient strength, stamina, and dexterity to perform all essential tasks safely.You Should Be Proficient In, • PLC Troubleshooting Skills, • Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering, • CNC Machine Repair, • Boiler Troubleshooting, • Industrial Electrical Experience, • Industrial Electrical Systems, • Troubleshooting CNC MachinesMachines & Technologies You'll Use, • Circular Saw, • Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM), • Conveyor Systems
