Job Description Job Title: Human Resources Generalist Location: Sherman Oaks, CA Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday, typical business hours Compensation: $60,000-$70,000 annually, depending on experience Job Description Job Summary: We are seeking a professional, organized, and detail-oriented Human Resources Generalist to support the daily functions of the Human Resources department. This individual will play a key role in recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, benefits administration, leave management, and overall HR operations. The ideal candidate is proactive, resourceful, and able to handle confidential matters with professionalism and integrity. Duties & Responsibilities: • Manage daily HR functions, including employee relations, onboarding, compliance tracking, benefits administration, leave management, and policy enforcement., • Recruit, interview, and assist with hiring qualified candidates for open positions; partner with departmental managers to understand staffing needs and required competencies., • Coordinate and implement new hire onboarding and orientation processes., • Help administer employee recognition, morale, and engagement initiatives., • Review, track, and document compliance with required trainings, continuing education, work assessments, certifications, and licensure requirements., • Perform routine HR administrative tasks related to compensation, benefits, leave of absence requests, disciplinary actions, investigations, performance management, and training and development., • Respond to employment-related questions from applicants, employees, and supervisors, escalating more complex or sensitive issues as appropriate., • Participate in disciplinary meetings, investigations, and termination processes as needed., • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and support updates to internal policies and procedures to align with best practices., • Assist with maintaining accurate employee records and HR documentation in HRIS and other internal systems. Requirements Required Skills & Abilities: • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills, • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail, • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines, • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion, • High level of professionalism, integrity, and sound judgment, • Thorough understanding of employment-related laws and regulations, • Proficiency with HRIS platforms and talent management systems, or the ability to quickly learn new systems Education & Experience: • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required, • At least 1 year of human resources experience preferred, • SHRM-CP certification is a plus
