Berkys Day Care is an in-home early learning childcare program located in Deer Park, NY. We currently have a part-time position available and are seeking a CANDIDATE for a TEACHER ASSISTANT position. The schedule is as follows... 1st POSITION ​​​​​​​Monday through Friday Mornings: 12:00pm -4:00pm 2nd POSITION ​​​​​​​Monday through Friday Mornings: 1:45pm -5:15pm The ideal candidate for these positions are a caring, patient, and responsible individual who possess an interest in working with children ages 2-5 years old. Responsibilities: Work closely with the classroom to balance out the responsibilities that are required for our morning program. Must be punctual, responsible, and reliable. Assist in implementing our Berkys Curriculum for our Preschool students. Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn. Must be a team player that can work well with others in assisting with the growth and development of our students and our program. Build relationships with families and coworkers and create a dynamic environment where play and learning happen seamlessly. Qualifications: High School Diploma/ GED required. Must drive own a car Experience working with children ages 2-5 years old. We are seeking a kind, nurturing, and dedicated Assistant Early Childhood Educator to work closely with our head teacher in providing a safe, engaging, and loving environment for children aged 18 months to 4 years. This role is perfect for someone who genuinely loves working with young children, understands their developmental needs, and is passionate about helping them grow socially, emotionally, and cognitively. Your primary responsibilities will include supporting daily routines, participating in play-based learning activities, ensuring children's safety, and creating a positive atmosphere where each child feels valued and cared for. Key Responsibilities: • Assist the head teacher in supervising and engaging children throughout the day • Help create a nurturing and inclusive environment that supports each child’s development • Encourage learning through play, storytelling, music, movement, and exploration • Support with feeding, diapering, and toileting routines as needed • Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment • Communicate effectively with children, colleagues, and parents Qualifications: • Experience working with young children is required • Must have a genuine love and passion for caring for children • Patience, empathy, and a warm, friendly personality • A strong sense of responsibility, reliability, and teamwork • CDA and CPR/First Aid certifications are helpful but not required

Looking for a toddler teacher to work as a lead in a 2 year old class. Qualified person should have a degree or CDA in education, preferably early childhood. 1 or more years experience working with toddlers. Candidate should be warm, nurturing, patient and understands the developmental stages of toddlers. Hours are 9:00-12:45 Monday-Friday with the opportunity to work in our after care program.
