Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: Radiology Technician, • Discipline: Allied Health Professional, • Start Date: 12/08/2025, • Duration: 11 weeks, • 16 hours per week, • Shift: 8 hours, • Performs radiologic treatments for patients., • Treatment of patients:, • Arrange treatment appointments., • Deliver radiation to patients in accordance with physician’s instructions., • Operate simulator for localization of tumor size and position., • Takes contours and collects all physical factors for treatment plans., • Perform dosimetry for treatment plans., • Recognize all types of radiation reactions and provides the proper care and instructions to patients., • Educate patients with respect to radiation therapy reactions and also life style modifications., • Instruct incoming Residents and technologists in the use of equipment., • Prepare cerrobend alloy blocks., • Fabricate plastic holders for blocks., • Construct and fabricate patient immobilization devices., • Take and develop radiographs., • Maintain patient management room neat and orderly., • Coordinate department with inpatient activities to provide proper patient care., • When necessary, transports inpatients., • Ensure the proper functioning and maintenance of radiation therapy equipment., • Position requires prolonged periods of standing, reaching, walking throughout the working day., • Knowledge of radiologic equipment in use at BHMC Good patient interpersonal skills., • High School diploma or equivalent required., • Certification in the operation of Radiologic equipment and treatment required.
