We are looking for someone with proven experience building and managing menus in the Toast POS system for a busy deli store. We already have an existing menu, but we need an experienced Toast specialist to edit and improve it by creating modifiers, organizing categories, updating menu items, and making sure everything works correctly for online ordering. This is an on-site project located in Downtown Manhattan and may take a couple of days to complete. Applicants must have hands-on Toast POS experience and be able to start as soon as possible. Key Responsibilities Diagnose & Repair: Troubleshoot and repair a wide variety of film equipment (lighting fixtures, grip gear, power distribution, cables, and mechanical accessories). Electrical & Wiring: Perform precise electrical repairs, component replacements, and custom wiring/soldering projects. Inventory & Tool Management: Keep the workshop stocked. Track, order, and organize replacement parts, components, and shop tools. Preventative Maintenance: Establish and execute routine maintenance schedules to maximize gear lifespan and minimize downtime. Organization: Maintain a spotless, highly organized, and efficient workshop environment. What We Are Looking For Strong Mechanical & Electrical Aptitude: Proven experience with hands-on mechanical repairs and basic electrical/electronic wiring. • Key Responsibilities: 🛠️ Core Trade Repairs & Maintenance • Plumbing: Unclogging main and secondary drains, repairing or replacing fixtures, and working with copper, threaded, and no-hub piping., • Electrical: Troubleshooting circuits; replacing ballasts, light fixtures, outlets, switches, fuses, and circuit breakers in compliance with safety standards., • HVAC & Appliances: Performing preventative maintenance on AC units, commercial kitchen exhaust/ventilation systems, pumps, and water heaters; diagnosing minor mechanical failures., • Carpentry & Handyman Work: Repairing drywall, plastering, painting, replacing floor and ceiling tiles, and repairing doors, hinges, and locks. 📋 Preventive Maintenance & Inspections • Perform routine facility rounds to inspect life safety equipment, emergency lighting, and fire extinguishers., • Monitor, log, and report on the condition of utility systems and major building equipment., • Document all completed tasks, parts used, and system readouts in the company's work order or digital dispatch system. 🚨 Emergency Response & Safety • Respond rapidly to urgent maintenance requests (e.g., active leaks, power outages, drainage back-ups)., • Understand basic fire alarm panel operations (arming/disarming, identifying trouble signals) and assist during building emergencies.
