We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate team member to join Jannazah Community Funeral Services. In this role, you will provide essential end-of-life care to deceased individuals and their families in accordance with Islamic tradition. This is meaningful, hands-on work that requires respect, discretion, and emotional resilience. Please note: We are looking for individuals who are genuinely committed to this work and the community we serve — not those seeking quick or short-term income. This is a calling as much as it is a job, and we value people who are dependable and in it for the long term. Key Responsibilities • Perform ritual washing (ghusl) and shrouding (kafan) of the deceased with dignity and care, following Islamic guidelines, • Prepare and transport the deceased safely between locations, including homes, hospitals, mosques, and burial sites, • Coordinate and arrange funeral logistics, including janazah prayer scheduling and burial preparations, • Work closely with grieving families to guide them through the process with compassion and sensitivity, • Ensure all services are carried out promptly, respectfully, and in line with religious requirements, • Maintain cleanliness and proper handling standards throughout all procedures What We're Looking For • A genuine, long-term commitment to serving the community, • Respect for Islamic funeral rites and traditions, • Emotional maturity and the ability to remain composed in sensitive situations, • Physical ability to lift and transport with care, • Reliability, punctuality, and discretion, • Compassion and professionalism when working with bereaved families We are hiring as soon as possible and encourage committed candidates to apply right away.
