Job Description Job Title: Welding Supervision Helper TWO MONTH CONTRACT Job Description This role supports welding operations in an industrial plant by assisting welders, handling general labor tasks, and helping maintain a safe work area. You will work closely with experienced welders and supervisors in a construction and welding environment, contributing to safe and efficient completion of projects. Responsibilities • Assist welders with daily tasks in an industrial plant environment, including preparing work areas and organizing tools and materials., • Support welding supervision by following instructions, coordinating materials, and helping ensure work progresses safely and efficiently., • Handle general labor duties such as moving equipment, cleaning workspaces, and staging materials for welding and construction activities., • Work around welding torches and related equipment, helping to set up, transport, and secure tools as directed., • Assist with fire equipment and extinguishers by helping maintain readiness of fire safety equipment in welding and construction areas, following safety guidelines., • Follow all safety procedures related to welding, fire equipment, and construction activities, including proper handling of tools and materials., • Collaborate with welders, supervisors, and other helpers to complete tasks on schedule and maintain a clean, organized work environment., • Report any safety concerns, equipment issues, or hazards to supervision promptly to support a safe working environment. Essential Skills • Experience working in or around welding environments, including exposure to welding torches and related equipment., • Familiarity with fire equipment and extinguishers in an industrial or construction setting., • Ability to perform general labor tasks in industrial, construction, or plant environments., • Comfort working in an industrial plant setting with active welding and construction activities., • Ability to follow detailed instructions from welders and supervisors and support welding supervision tasks., • Strong awareness of safety practices related to welding, fire equipment, and construction work., • Physical ability to lift, carry, and move materials and equipment as needed in a plant environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Prior experience in industrial, construction, or plant-based roles is a plus., • Exposure to welding supervision or support roles is beneficial., • Familiarity with basic construction practices and tools is advantageous., • Interest in learning more about welding operations and industrial safety. Work hours and shifts may vary based on project needs and contract schedules, and you can expect a field-oriented setting rather than a traditional office environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of McDonough, GA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $17.00/hr.
