PORTER / CARGO TRUCK DRIVER Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Porter / Cargo Truck Driver to assist with transporting, loading, unloading, and handling cargo while also supporting general porter and warehouse duties. The ideal candidate is a safe and responsible driver who can operate cargo trucks and assist with deliveries and physical handling of materials. Responsibilities • Safely operate company cargo trucks to transport goods, equipment, supplies, and materials., • Pick up and deliver cargo to designated locations on schedule., • Load, unload, move, and secure cargo safely., • Inspect cargo and ensure items are properly secured before transportation., • Assist with lifting, carrying, and moving heavy or bulky items when needed., • Follow assigned delivery routes and schedules., • Complete delivery paperwork, logs, receipts, and other required documentation., • Conduct basic pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections., • Report vehicle issues, accidents, damages, or maintenance concerns to management., • Keep the truck clean, organized, and properly maintained., • Assist with warehouse, porter, loading dock, and general facility duties when not driving., • Follow all company safety procedures and applicable traffic regulations., • Provide professional and courteous service to customers and delivery locations., • Perform other transportation and porter duties as assigned. Qualifications • Valid driver's license appropriate for the type of cargo truck being operated., • Previous experience driving cargo, box, delivery, or commercial trucks preferred., • Clean and safe driving record preferred., • Previous experience in delivery, warehouse, porter, or material-handling work is a plus., • Able to safely lift, carry, and move cargo and equipment., • Good knowledge of local roads and delivery routes., • Reliable, punctual, and responsible., • Able to work independently and follow instructions., • Good communication and customer-service skills., • Willingness to work flexible hours, weekends, or overtime when required.
