Work Shifts 8:00 A.M – 4:00 P.M Duties & Responsibilities Purpose of Position: Under direct supervision of a Licensed Nurse or other licensed professional staff, performs activities and procedures of a non-professional nature in direct/indirect care of patients and residents, or participates as a member of a treatment, nursing, medical or health care team in implementing appropriate regimens. Examples of Typical Tasks: 1. Assists in recreational and rehabilitation activities designed to meet the assessed needs, interests and capabilities of patients. Supervises patients/residents during field trips., 2. Assists with the physical care and personal hygiene of selected patients, consisting of, but not limited to, changing simple dressings, giving enemas and taking vital signs. Prepares patient for meals and feeds them if necessary., 3. Prepares patient for examination by performing assigned procedures such as temperature, pulse, respiration, height, weight and measurements, and assists in the examination process., 4. Prepares patient and/or examining room for examination, treatment and/or procedures. Sets up and arranges examining room., 5. Maintains, assembles and dismantles devices and equipment used in patient care. Prepares and tests equipment for safe operation and transports various equipment and supplies. 1. Changes linen and makes beds. Keeps ward and/or unit, linen, utility, treatment, storage rooms and recreational areas in a neat and orderly fashion., 2. Assists in care and storage of patients' clothing and property and sterilizes clothing and other personal items when required. 1. Reports observations of patients' and families' condition, mental state and social behavior to medical and professional staff caring for patients, and participates in the assessment and/or care of patients and families., 2. Maintains, controls, completes, processes and files patients' charts, records, transportation and time records, appropriate forms and documents., 3. Assists in clinic, admission procedures and in regulation of visitors., 4. Escorts ambulatory patients and transports non-ambulatory patients by wheelchair, stretcher, bed or stretcher-bed, including those with intravenous apparatuses to all departments, clinics, diagnostic and therapeutic units, religious and recreation centers, and other areas within the facility and facility's affiliation hospital. Accompanies children to facility school and explains nature of trips to patients., 5. Transports bodies and/or assists mortuary caretaker in transporting bodies to the mortuary and places in refrigerator when necessary. Searches DOA's and completes the required DOA reports. Transports fetuses, amputated parts or other specimens to morgue and provides postmortem care., 6. Collects and delivers specimens, charts, x-rays, regular and emergency requisitions for diagnostic tests and treatments. Performs other messenger duties, as required., 7. Provides for comfort needs of patients and assists patient with all aspects and activities of daily living., 8. Maintains clinical competence by attending continuing education programs. As a Traveling Associate Dentist, you’ll deliver best-in-class clinical care across multiple studios within your market—supporting teams where you’re needed most. Whether covering PTO, supporting leaves, or helping maintain continuity in open roles, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring our patients receive consistent, high-quality care across the Tend network. You’ll step into well-supported studios, treat a full scope of cases, and partner with experienced clinical and operational teams—all while being part of a collaborative, energized Compensation & Earning Potential Our compensation model is designed to reward high-quality clinical care, comprehensive treatment, and strong production—while providing consistency and transparency. All dentists receive a guaranteed daily rate and earn a tiered percentage of adjusted production, with: • Traveling Associate Dentists: 30–40% of adjusted production What You’ll Do Clinical Excellence & Scope of Practice (All Dentists) • Deliver a full spectrum of high-quality clinical services—including restorative care such as inlays/onlays, crowns, veneers, endodontics, extractions, implants, and cosmetic dentistry—within Tend’s modern, digitally enabled studio environment, • Treat a dynamic mix of cases that go beyond basic dentistry, with opportunities to perform comprehensive, esthetic, and function-driven care, • Lead comprehensive exams that diagnose the whole person — every member leaves aware of their dental conditions and potential solutions in a way that is clear, confident, and efficient, • Develop thoughtful, member-centered treatment plans grounded in legitimate clinical findings and honest risk assessment, driving both oral health outcomes and case acceptance, • Diagnose and treat TMJ-related conditions, including the delivery of therapeutic Botox as part of a comprehensive care approach Be a Profession Leader in Clear Aligner and Sleep Therapy (All Dentists) • Identify and address malocclusion, occlusal wear, fracture lines, and sleep-disordered breathing early — using our tested frameworks, not scripts, to educate members compassionately and help them avoid more invasive, costly outcomes down the road, • Drive adoption and growth of clear aligner treatment, from diagnosis through case planning, bonding, and follow-up care, • Evaluate and treat members for sleep-disordered breathing, incorporating sleep medicine solutions into treatment planning where appropriate, • Build proficiency in aligner case selection, staging, and execution, contributing to a high-performing aligner program, • Partner with clinical leadership to expand advanced treatment offerings and continuously elevate clinical scope Productivity, Flow & Patient Experience (All Dentists) • Manage a dynamic, productive schedule—balancing operative procedures, hygiene checks, aligner starts, and same-day treatment opportunities, • Be schedule obsessed by partnering with studio teams to build efficient and productive shifts—reviewing schedules in advance, strategizing in daily huddles, and offering same-day care when possible, • Drive production through proactive diagnosis, completion of full treatment plans, and efficient use of chair time—without compromising quality of care, • Deliver a hospitality-driven member experience grounded in the Three C’s — Personalized Care, Empowering Communication, and Human Compassion — bridging the knowledge gap so members understand not just what, but why, • Hold the line on our Priority Framework: safety first, then outstanding member experience, then efficiency — never trading one for another Team Collaboration & Studio Performance (All Dentists) • Partner closely with dental assistants, hygienists, and studio leadership to deliver coordinated, high-quality care, • Collaborate across disciplines to ensure alignment in treatment planning, execution, and patient experience, • Engage in ongoing clinical development, including calibration, CE, and peer learning to expand scope and skillset Who You Are You embody our Tend values and demonstrate key competencies that ensure both patient success and team excellence. What You Have • DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school, • Current, active dental license in the state you’re applying for, • Current CPR/BLS certification, • Active DEA registration, • Associate Dentists - Minimum 2 years of experience (post residency) in private practice, DSO, or similar setting, • Comfort with modern technology and a willingness to adopt digital workflows, • Invisalign certification, • Ability to work a Full Time schedule consisting of 4-5 days per week (no Saturdays). Physical Requirements This position requires the ability to perform the essential job duties listed, with or without reasonable accommodation: • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods while performing clinical procedures., • Manual dexterity and fine motor skills to handle dental instruments and perform precise procedures., • Adequate vision (with or without correction) to read charts, interpret radiographs, and operate clinical equipment., • Ability to bend, reach, and maintain ergonomic positioning for patient care., • Occasional lifting or movement of equipment and supplies up to 25 pounds., • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, team members, and other healthcare professionals in person and via technology.
