Seafood Story is a new halal seafood spot in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. We’re building a friendly team that treats guests like family. Role: Waitress / Server (Front of House)

This job is for 2 shifts, from 1pm to 9pm and 3pm to 11pm. Guests will start arriving at 4pm and we will serve drinks until 10pm, after which we will need help wrapping up and loading out. Food will be set up in a buffet style and guests will get their own plates. The job entails - helping set up before the guests arrive, picking up and helping to wash dirty plates and glasses, making sure water and napking are restocked, clearing and moving the tables when the dinner portion is over and guests are ready for the dance party and cake. One person will need to occasionally help the bartender, also will need one person to be the doorman.

Responsibilities: Assist with the setup and cleanup of the banquet area. Anticipate guest needs and exceed service expectations. Taking orders for and serving plated dishes to our patrons. Maintain a professional and well-kept appearance. Must be able to remain on your feet for 5-8 hour durations and perform moderately heavy lifting of trays. Must be able to communicate well in English. We are looking for servers with a strong work ethic, previous customer service experience, excellent time management skills and the knowledge of basic food safety. You must be able to work cooperatively and independently in high pressure situations. Job duties include greeting customers, tending tables, cleaning tables, assisting kitchen staff with plating and or prepping food when necessary, making drinks, handling hookah and cleaning facilities.
