Green Top Farms was founded by a farmer-turned-public-school-teacher who was troubled by the lack of fresh, nutritious foods for many New York families. For the last ten years we have built a high volume food service, catering and delivery business. Throughout that time we have remained deeply involved in working to provide better food resources and education for school children, food pantries, and the broader community. We have also pursued our vision for a more sustainable and equitable food system. We spent the majority of our energies during the COVID Pandemic serving NYC City Agencies in the provision of food for the underserved, as well as non-profit agencies throughout NYC. What You’ll Do: - Responsible for managing daily food service in a corporate office setting, including ordering and receiving deliveries, managing inventory to ensure efficiency, plating foods and breaking down each weekday - Responsible for inventory management and communications to HQ including filling out daily consumption reports and weekly rehashes - Supervising and scheduling on site team including monitoring and approving time and attendance, training and developing passionate staff members - Supervise and ensure a food safe and sanitary environment that meets safe food handling guidelines - Responsible for managing customer feedback and relaying that information to the management team to maintain high level quality of service - Monitor and scale standard operating procedures - Display an outgoing and considerate personality with retail or front of house experience in a restaurant, café or catering setting - Inherent problem solver that’s organized, punctual, and tech savvy Who You Are: - Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Proof of vaccination will be required - 3+ year supervisory/management experience within a food service environment (catering, commissary, or banquet preferred) - 1+ years in a catering or banquet setting - Ability to carry over 50 pounds and remain standing for long periods of time - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong tech skills (including Microsoft Office and Google Workspace), and creative problem solving skills - Passionate about local food and nutrition, and on a mission to reach folks with better food. - Must have flexible schedule availability - Bilingual Strongly Preferred (Spanish) What We Offer: Green Top Farms provides benefits including medical insurance, sick leave, paid time off that increases with tenure, commuter benefits and potential for bonuses through our Green Shares employee bonus program. ABOUT GRIT GRIT Boxing is a 50 minute, total body, group fitness boxing experience. Our studio is based in Union Square, we are backed by some of the biggest names in entertainment including Tony Robbins and Pitbull. GRIT has been featured on news sites including: Fox, ABC and Vice. WHERE YOU COME IN - WHY WE NEED YOU What's unique about GRIT is we have an open bar after each class where our GRIT bartender or "Mood Director" serves cocktails and mocktails to members post workout. GRIT works to curate an environment after class for members to connect with trainers or meet someone new from class. GRIT is looking to hire a mood director / bartender to support here. WHAT YOU NEED FROM YOU GRIT is looking to hire someone with high energy that can get and keep a party in motion. This person should be able to make members feel welcome and develop relationships easily. Bar tending experience is not required, as drinks are pre batched. WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR Being a fitness studio we're looking for a male in great shape and in their 20s. A headshot is required to apply. We are looking for an Event Host & Coordinator to manage events that include, movie premieres, birthday parties, panels, film festivals, music performance, comedians and educational programs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling all the technical aspects of hosting events and the logistical requirements from inquiry to conclusion. We will provide technical training.
