As a Dog Walker, you will ensure that each dog receives the attention and physical activity they need while fostering a positive relationship with both the pets and their owners. This position is perfect for animal lovers who enjoy being outdoors and have experience working with dogs. Duties Walk dogs in various weather conditions, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times. Provide basic training commands during walks to reinforce good behavior. Monitor the health and behavior of each dog, reporting any concerns to the pet owner. Maintain a clean and safe environment by picking up after the dogs during walks. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their dog's needs, behavior, and any incidents that may occur during walks. Provide additional services such as pet grooming or sitting as required by clients. Skills Strong animal handling skills, with experience in dog handling and care. Knowledge of pet grooming techniques is a plus. Background in veterinary practices or as a veterinary technician is beneficial but not required. Experience in pet sitting or working in a kennel environment is preferred. Excellent customer service skills to build rapport with pet owners. Ability to perform animal restraint when necessary for safety purposes.
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team. As a vital member of our Veterinary healthcare team, you will work closely with our Veterinarians to provide exceptional care to our furry friends and support to their owners. Key Responsibilities: - Assist veterinarians in examination, diagnosis, and treatment of dogs - Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by veterinarians - Perform laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis - Prepare patients and surgical suite for surgical procedures and provide assistance during surgeries - Monitor patients during anesthesia and recovery - Educate pet owners on preventive care, medication administration, and post-treatment care - Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards Administrative Duties - Communicating with clients on a daily basis in the lobby and by phone and returning client calls same day Qualifications: - Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or hospital - Proficiency in animal handling and restraint - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment - Commitment to providing compassionate care to animals and their owners - Must be physically fit to lift dogs 50+ lbs, kneel, stand for long periods of time and perform requirements of the job.
