The Daycare Assistant is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the daycare center by helping care for children, maintaining a safe and clean environment, and assisting lead teachers with educational and recreational activities. This role requires patience, energy, and a passion for working with young children. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and ensure the safety of children at all times Assist with planning and leading educational and play-based activities Help children with basic needs such as feeding, diapering, toileting, and dressing Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment Observe children’s behavior and report any concerns to lead staff or the director Help with meal and snack preparation and clean-up Support social and emotional development by encouraging positive interactions Communicate effectively with children, parents, and coworkers Follow all daycare policies, procedures, and licensing regulations Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Ability to lift 30+ pounds and actively participate in play and outdoor activities Strong communication and teamwork skills A warm, caring, and patient demeanor
