Community Canvasser Paid Campaign Position | Southern Tier, NY Make an Impact Where It Matters This is a people-powered campaign where your conversations directly influence real outcomes for working families across the Southern Tier. As a Community Canvasser, you will be on the front lines, building relationships, raising critical resources, and helping elect leadership that delivers practical results for our communities. We are seeking motivated, enthusiastic individuals to join the grassroots team supporting Dan Norton. No prior political experience is required; training is provided. Hours & Schedule • AM Shift: 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM, • PM Shift: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM, • Weekends available, • Flexible scheduling with part-time and full-time opportunities Compensation & Classification • $18–$22 per hour; commensurate with experience, • 1099 Independent Contractor position, • Performance-based incentives may be available Key Responsibilities • Conduct door-to-door canvassing to engage voters and share the campaign’s message, • Persuasively engage community members to:, • Accurately record voter feedback and supporter information, • Represent the campaign professionally and respectfully at all times, • Work independently in the field while collaborating with campaign staff This Role Is for You If You… • Enjoy talking with people and building trust quickly, • Are comfortable asking for support and making a clear case for change, • Believe local leadership has a direct impact on families and communities, • Are reliable, self-motivated, and goal-oriented, • Want hands-on experience in advocacy, organizing, or political campaigns Qualifications • Experience in canvassing, sales, customer service, fundraising, or community outreach is preferred but not required, • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, • Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply for enhanced community engagement, • Willingness to travel within assigned areas for door-to-door outreach, • Access to a vehicle is preferred, • A genuine passion for social causes and making a positive impact About the Campaign Dan Norton is running to make life more affordable and deliver steady, practical leadership for the Southern Tier. A lifelong Broome County resident, Dan was born at Wilson Memorial Hospital and raised in Endwell. Coming from a proud union, working-class family, he understands how state decisions affect schools, local governments, nonprofits, small businesses, and families. Dan is running because Albany needs leadership that puts people over politics and focuses on results—not rhetoric.
