Job Description Provides excellent internal and external customer service by making prompt and courteous deliveries of customer orders. Make pick-ups as necessary. Performs general warehouse duties and customer assistance as needed. Performs all job responsibilities in a safe, timely and efficient manner. Position Requirements • Valid United States Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with HazMat endorsement required or upon hire willing to obtain your hazmat endorsement., • Must have an insurable driving record., • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Essential Function: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. • Perform daily pre-trip / post-trip inspections on vehicles and keep accurate records., • Perform all functions in compliance with DOT/FMCSA regulations, company fleet safety, and general safety rules., • Operate a Moffett (truck mounted forklift), • Operate a forklift (powered industrial truck), • Read and identify numbers for accurate order filling and receiving material., • Excellent verbal and written communication skills., • Excellent customer service abilities., • Load truck accurately, safely, and properly secure the load for customer deliveries., • Organize appropriate paperwork for daily deliveries. Example: Invoices, Pick-up tickets, etc., • Accurately deliver and unload customer orders to designated destinations in a timely manner and obtain signatures to complete all required paperwork., • Collect payments at the time of delivery when required., • Perform safe work practices, such as wearing required PPE, proper lifting techniques, etc. when carrying out daily work duties and using company equipment., • Conduct all operations in accordance with OSHA & SDS standards., • Fill customer orders by retrieving material from the warehouse and other locations., • Check in and put away material, verifying quantities and quality of received material. Maintain clear isles and walkways. Ensure the material is properly organized., • Follow procedures for returned products. Returned products include over-stock, damaged products, and warranty items., • Accept returns from customers, complete appropriate paperwork and return products to the warehouse., • Know the location of merchandise in the warehouse. Keep material organized and put away., • Assist in maintaining the appearance of the branch, clean warehouse, counter area, bathrooms, outside parking lot, yard, etc., • Be vigilant against any attempted theft. Competencies: Excellent understanding of federal, state, and local regulations governing the transport of hazardous materials. Supervisory Responsibility: None Physical Requirements of the Position: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position requires regular standing; walking; using hands and arms to finger, handle, feel, or carry; reach with hands and arms, sit, climb, or balance or stoop; kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must be able to lift-up-to 100 lbs. Move product as much as 100 yards. Must be able to sit and drive for periods not to exceed six hours. Position Type / Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Based on branch location, work hours are subject to change. Must be flexible to work additional hours, evenings, weekends, and Saturdays during peak season. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
