“This isn’t “just another electrical job.”
Picture yourself a few years from now: running your own jobs, reading prints with confidence, and actually understanding the business side of the trade — not just being a set of hands doing busy work.
If that sounds like the future you want, this Electrical Apprentice role with Ampcore Electric might be the next chapter you’ve been looking for.
We’re big on quality craftsmanship, the latest technologies, and a tight, family-style atmosphere. You are never just a number here. We will always do right by you and do everything we can for you. All we ask is that you care about your work and do the right thing in return.

We’re proud of our track record of quality installations and outstanding customer service. We value our team members, invest in their growth, and keep a tight, supportive crew. You’ll be coached, challenged, and trusted — not stuck as “the material runner.”

As an Electrical Apprentice (1–4 years experience), you’ll be side-by-side with experienced electricians and journeymen, doing real work, not just busywork:
- Reading and working from blueprints
- Installing electrical panels and equipment
- Installing and bending conduit
- Pulling wire and installing boxes/devices
- Assisting with troubleshooting electrical issues
- Working safely as part of a crew on a variety of projects
You’ll typically report directly to the job site, mostly in Central NJ, with occasional work in Northern and Southern NJ.
Schedule:
- Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm
- Occasional overtime, as needed
- Travel pay when working outside our normal radius
What you’ll get (beyond a paycheck)
We know people stay and grow when the company invests in them. Here’s what we offer:
And just as important, the growth side:
We want to teach you as much as we can — not just electrical skills, but how to build a solid career and life around them.
What we’re looking for
Must-haves:
- 1–4 years of experience in the electrical trade
- Basic hand tools
- Valid driver’s license
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Able to perform the physical tasks of the trade (lifting, ladders, tight spaces, various weather, etc.)
The kind of person who thrives here:
- Dependable — you show up when you say you will
- Neat, clean appearance and respectful attitude
- Friendly and professional with customers
- Wants to learn, ask questions, and keep getting better
Bonus points for:
- Conduit bending experience
- Fire alarm wiring experience
- Generator installation experience
How we treat our people
“We will always do right by you and do everything we can for you.
All we ask is that you care about your work and do the right thing.
We’re here to teach you — electrical, business, and personal development.”
If you bring effort and honesty, we’ll bring training, opportunities, and a team that actually has your back.
Ready to start your next chapter?
If you’re hungry to learn, take pride in your work, and want a future in this trade—not just another job—we’d like to talk.
