Our busy New Jersey family law practice located with offices in Edgewater, Woodbridge, and Freehold is seeking an attorney with experience in domestic violence matters, divorce, child support, and child custody/visitation disputes to join our team. What We’re Looking For: Admission to the New Jersey Bar in good standing. Some experience in family law with domestic violence (TRO/FRO) experience preferred but not required. Ability to manage a caseload independently from intake through resolution. Strong courtroom presence and advocacy skills. Excellent writing skills, including certifications, motions, and correspondence. Familiarity with New Jersey court procedures, particularly in Family Part. Ability to handle high-conflict and emotionally sensitive matters with professionalism and empathy. Experience with divorce litigation is a plus, but not required. Responsibilities Include: Representing clients in domestic violence hearings, custody disputes, and related family law matters. Conducting client consultations and developing case strategy. Drafting and reviewing pleadings, motions, and legal correspondence. Appearing in court regularly and negotiating settlements where appropriate. Managing case files, deadlines, and client communications. Collaborating with support staff to ensure efficient case management. Conduct legal research using tools like Westlaw and LexisNexis. Negotiate settlements effectively to achieve favorable outcomes for clients while maintaining professionalism. Location: Must be located in New Jersey or able to regularly appear in NJ courts.
