Throughout that time we have remained deeply involved in working to provide better food resources and education for school children, food pantries, and the broader community. What You’ll Do: • Responsible for maintaining daily food service in a corporate office setting, including stocking pantries, plating foods, and replenishing chafer and serving dishes., • Responsible for maintaining a food-safe and sanitary environment for service that meets safe food handling guidelines., • Greet, assist, and communicate with guests, ensuring a welcoming environment., • Have a great understanding of each menu, and provide suggestions and alternatives to guests with dietary restrictions., • Having basic level knife handling to perform basic food preparation tasks, which include washing, peeling, and cutting fruit and vegetables, seasoning and slicing meats, and preparing sauces and salads., • Ability to read and prepare simple recipes such as waffle or pancake mixes, omelets, oatmeal etc., • Setting up and breaking down dining and buffet areas as per the Enterprise Dining Lead’s instructions. Ensuring all tableware and chafing dishes are properly cleaned and sanitized before each service/catering event., • Providing support when loading and unloading food, tableware, and catering supplies onto and off catering vehicles., • Appropriately storing clean chafing dishes, tableware, platters, and equipment after each service/catering attendant as well as dishwashing., • A New York City Food Handler's certificate/card holder (Preferred), • Ability to carry over 50 pounds and remain standing for long periods, • Outgoing and considerate personality with front and back of house experience in an corporate office catering, banquet, or commissary setting, • Exemplary communication skills., • Inherent problem solver that’s organized, punctual, and tech-savvy. Qualifications: • Experience: Previous experience in food preparation, commercial kitchens, or food production is preferred, but not required., • Physical Ability: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced environment., • Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy, cleanliness, and quality in following recipes and food production standards., • Communication: Basic communication skills to work effectively with kitchen staff and management., • Teamwork: A positive attitude and ability to collaborate effectively with the kitchen and production teams., • Time Management: Punctuality and reliability in meeting assigned shift schedules., • Health & Hygiene Standards: Knowledge or willingness to learn about food safety standards related to pet food production. Food Handlers Certificate Required with 30 Days, • Shift Flexibility: Willingness to work early mornings, nights, weekends, or overtime as needed based on production demands., • Dependability: Demonstrates strong commitment to attendance and punctuality by consistently arriving on time, maintaining reliability, being flexible with scheduling, and communicating proactively about any conflicts or emergencies.
