Job Summary: The Facilities & Maintenance Manager (FMM) is responsible for overseeing Facility Maintenance and Sanitation Standards at the manufacturing facility, ensuring a clean, safe, and compliant environment. This role also leads the Automation Mechanical Technician teams in implementing and managing preventative maintenance programs (PMP) and ensuring operational efficiency. Collaborating with National leaders, the FMM ensures company standards are upheld and plays a key role in optimizing overall facility performance, reducing hazards, and minimizing equipment downtime. Duties/Responsibilities: Leadership & Team Management: • Lead, mentor, and manage a diverse team of maintenance personnel, including Facilities, Sanitation, and Automation Mechanical Technicians., • Act as the primary point of contact for escalated automation issues that cannot be resolved by the team., • Troubleshoot, maintain, and optimize automation systems across the facility., • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operation and resolution of complex automation issues., • Oversee and execute a comprehensive Preventative Maintenance Program (PMP) to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime., • Ensure timely and effective repairs and upgrades to machinery and facility infrastructure., • Oversee maintenance and improvements of facility infrastructure, including HVAC, electrical systems, and structural repairs., • Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for major facility repairs and upgrades., • Ensure the sanitation team follows schedules and protocols to meet hygiene standards in compliance with industry regulations., • Coordinate with production teams to align sanitation activities without disrupting operational processes., • Promote and enforce a culture of safety, ensuring that all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations., • Oversee the development and implementation of safety protocols for all maintenance activities., • Lead continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing downtime, increasing operational efficiency, and optimizing the cost of maintenance operations., • Collaborate with other departments to identify areas for process improvements and implement best practices., • Analyze maintenance costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and manage the department's budget effectively. Required Skills/Abilities: Technical Skills: • In-depth knowledge of automation systems, including PLCs, robotics, and control systems., • Proficient in the development and management of Preventative Maintenance Programs (PMP)., • Understanding of maintenance best practices and industry standards (e.g., TPM, Lean, Six Sigma)., • Proven leadership ability to manage and develop a multidisciplinary team., • Strong organizational and time-management skills., • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across departments. Problem Solving & Analytical Skills: • Strong analytical skills for diagnosing complex mechanical and automation issues., • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks to minimize downtime., • Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on data-driven decision-making. Education/Experience: • High School Diploma or GED required, Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered., • At least 5 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, including expertise in automation systems. Preference will be given to candidates with 10 or more years of experience., • Previous experience managing teams in facilities maintenance, sanitation, and automation roles., • Strong background in preventative maintenance and managing equipment reliability., • Certifications in Maintenance Management, Facilities Management, or Automation are a plus. Job Summary: The Quality Control Technician will directly support the Quality Control Supervisor at DreamFields New York. This position inspects products, accurately tracks types and quantities of defects, and ensures proper containment of quality risks. This role is responsible for ensuring only products adhering to company specifications will proceed to the next stage of the manufacturing or distribution process. Duties/Responsibilities: • Inspect or test products before, during, and/or after the manufacturing process to ensure incoming or outgoing products align with company and legal standards. This may include raw materials, work-in-process materials, finished goods, and/or finished packaged cases., • Review and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and specifications., • Pass or reject products as necessary to ensure compliance with applicable cannabis regulations as well as DreamFields' internal specifications, policies, and procedures., • Correctly categorize rejected products in accordance with the observed defect(s)., • Track units reworked and/or rejected in real time., • Document inspection results by accurately counting and reporting quality-related data quarterly (every 2 hours). Real-time data entry is required during cannabis raw material QC inspections., • Raise red flags and provide detailed notes as needed to internally communicate quality- or compliance-related issues clearly and effectively., • Communicate to and collaborate with QC Supervisor, Production Lead, or other team members as needed to contribute to error reduction and process enhancements., • Identify and communicate quality-related insights and opportunities for continuous improvement to QC Supervisor and Production Leads., • Support identification of appropriate corrective actions., • Properly use and maintain QC equipment and materials in accordance with approved methods and Good Manufacturing Practices. Maintain sanitary conditions at workstation(s)., • Be receptive to coaching or performance-related feedback from QC leadership., • Must be at least 21 years of age and have reliable transportation., • Meticulous attention to detail - must be able to closely inspect product to identify defects, count and report accurate numerical data, and review/verify product labeling with a high degree of accuracy., • Strong verbal communication skills - must be able to professionally communicate and collaborate with others, effectively follow and provide instructions, and ask questions as necessary to fulfill roles and expectations., • Problem-solving skills - skilled at making pertinent observations and recommending solutions to manufacturing defects in a fast-paced production environment., • Ability to maintain a high level of cleanliness, organization, and sanitary work environment in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)., • Must be quickly adaptable and open to change., • Knowledge of and ability to uphold workplace health and safety standards., • High School Diploma or GED required., • Experience in a quality control or quality assurance role, preferably in cannabis or a similarly highly regulated industry., • Must be able to use cleaning solutions and properly and safely use brooms, unload trash cans, and other cleaning supplies and tools., • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted., • Frequent walking and standing in a warehouse environment., • Capability to operate heavy machinery such as floor scrubber safely and efficiently., • Comfortable working in industrial environments with exposure to noise, dust, heat, cold, and other manufacturing conditions., • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive physical tasks for extended periods. This position is scheduled on a full-time basis. Specific shift times and workdays are determined by the operation and may vary by location. Business needs may require work on evenings, weekends, and holidays, as well as occasional overtime. Scheduled start and end times, assigned shifts, and workdays are subject to change based on staffing and operational requirements.
