Business Operations Manager - Seneca Winds Nursery

As a startup retail nursery, we are seeking a dedicated and versatile Founding Operations Manager to be the heartbeat of our new venture. This hands-on role is perfect for a plant expert eager to build from the ground up and isn't afraid to get their hands dirty. You will be instrumental in managing ordering and sales, optimizing inventory, and leading infrastructure projects to ensure our growth and success.

This is not a traditional "sit behind a desk" position. One day you might be advising a customer on the best privacy trees, and the next you could be troubleshooting an irrigation line or constructing new display benches. We need a true "Swiss Army Knife" who thrives in a dynamic environment and contributes to key decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operations & Infrastructure: Lead setup projects, maintain nursery grounds, and ensure our infrastructure expands in line with sales.
• Sales & Consulting: Serve as a lead expert for customers, offering top-tier advice on plants, trees, and landscape integration.
• Inventory Management: Oversee the health and maintenance of all plant stock (watering, pruning, fertilizing, pest management), and advise on ordering, promotions, and seasonal opportunities.
• Equipment Operation: Safely operate and maintain essential equipment such as tractors and zero-turn mowers.
• Team Leadership: As we grow, contribute to hiring, training, and managing our retail and installation crew.
