Job Description SCOPE: All Housekeepers of Aqua Ridge of Montclair are key team members, maintaining full accountability for the fulfillment of the mission of Aqua Ridge of Montclair. This position is responsible for the overall cleanliness of the community and resident apartments while maintaining resident satisfaction. Position Requirements: ∙ Must be at least 18 years of age ∙ Criminal record clearance prior to initial presence in the community ∙ Passed post-offer health physical and drug screen. ∙ TB test results within 7 days of hire and a health screen within 30 days of hire (when transferring test results TB or health screen will not be older than 6 months) ∙ Current basic first aid, or obtain within first 30 days of hire. ∙ Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs; constant standing, walking, and frequent bending, twisting required. ∙ Obtain food handlers permit, if required. ∙ Ability to effectively communicate in English ∙ Laundry and cleaning experience preferred Core Responsibilities: This position provides a high level of customer service to both residents and team members. This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the entire community. Resident/Common area cleaning ∙ Cleaning and vacuuming all resident apartments weekly following cleaning schedule, occupied or Unoccupied ∙ Cleaning common areas daily per schedule ∙ Washing all windows inside and out on a regular basis ∙ Refrigerators/freezers should be defrosted on a regular basis, where applicable ∙ Keep chemicals secured at all times, including the locking of housekeeping carts when not in immediate possession ∙ Keep assigned areas neat, clean, and well organized ∙ Wash laundry as assigned ∙ Changing resident linens and towels per weekly schedule ∙ Report needed supplies to Executive Director ∙ Assist in dining room as assigned ∙ Change light bulbs ∙ Clean public restrooms and replenish supplies as needed Laundry ∙ Pick up laundry of all residents that receive this service and return to the correct resident's room in a timely manner ∙ Collect hangers from residents as needed ∙ Wash and dry laundry in appliances provided, fold and/or hang appropriately ∙ Ensure resident's laundry is kept separated and is not mixed with other residents ∙ Keep the laundry area clean and wiped free of dust ∙ Empty lint traps daily, or more often, as needed ∙ Mop laundry floor daily and wash walls regularly Must have current criminal record clearance prior to initial presence in the community. Must pass post offer health physical and drug screen.
