Host / Cashier -- responsible for greeting guests, managing seating, handling payments, and providing excellent customer service. This position ensures guests feel welcomed and that transactions are handled accurately and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly as they enter the restaurant
- Manage the waitlist and seating arrangements
- Answer phone calls and take reservations
- Provide menus and assist guests with questions
- Process customer orders and payments using the POS system
- Handle cash, credit card, and digital payments accurately
- Issue receipts and maintain accurate cash drawer balance
- Assist with take-out and online orders
- Maintain a clean and organized front counter and waiting area
- Communicate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service
- Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return
