ABOUT LIGHT SWITCH Light Switch is a neighborhood coffee and bar concept in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn. We run as a specialty coffee counter during the day and transition into a warm, craft beer, wine-and-spritz social space in the evenings. Same team, same room, different energy. We are small, intentional, and care deeply about how people feel when they walk through our door — and when they leave. THE ROLE Lead Hosts are the backbone of Light Switch. You will anchor shifts across both sides of the day, dialing in espresso in the morning and running beverage service in the evening — while setting the standard for the team around you. You have worked with coffee as well as experienced in night time hospitality and comfortable making drinks, serving tables and running a busy evening floor. CROWD Coffee is looking for experienced specialty coffee baristas to join our team at two Brooklyn locations. We’re currently hiring for: 1. Evening Barista - 9000 Bay Parkway Located inside the MatchPoint building. Typical shift: approximately 2:30-3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, until close. This position is a great fit for someone who may already have another job and is looking for consistent evening shifts. 1. Full-Time Barista - Coney Island Ave & Avenue Y Located at Le Café Grand Prix. We’re looking for one full-time barista to become a consistent part of the team and grow with the location. We’re looking for someone with at least 1 year of specialty coffee experience who is comfortable working independently behind the bar and understands coffee beyond simply following recipes. Cafecito Social is a Guatemalan coffee shop on Bond Street in Gowanus. Our coffee is grown in Guatemala and roasted there by the people who grow it, then shipped fresh to Brooklyn. We are hiring baristas for every shift, opens through closes. We are a small team, which means the person on shift runs the shop: espresso, register, pastry case, restocking, cleaning, counting the drawer, receiving deliveries, and filling in the shift log before you leave. Requirements: Previous experience in a busy cafe or restaurant. Weekend availability. Opening shifts start at 6 AM. NYC Food Handler's License, in hand before your first shift. This is not negotiable. Able to lift 30 lbs. Reliability above all.
