We’re looking for energetic, personable Front of House team members to join our Brooklyn team. This is a customer-facing position for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in creating a great guest experience. You’ll be part of the team responsible for bringing the Pookie experience to life—from welcoming customers and taking orders to preparing drinks, serving desserts, and keeping the front of house running smoothly. What You’ll Be Doing • Greeting customers and providing friendly, attentive service, • Taking orders and operating our POS/register, • Preparing coffee and barista-style beverages, • Preparing and serving soft serve, desserts, and drinks, • Packaging and presenting customer orders, • Restocking and maintaining the front counter throughout your shift, • Keeping the service and customer areas clean and organized, • Working closely with the rest of the team during busy service periods, • Learning Pookie Bakery's products, service standards, and operating procedures What We’re Looking For We’re looking for people who are reliable, outgoing, professional, and comfortable interacting with customers. Previous barista, café, bakery, restaurant, or customer-service experience is preferred, but it is not required. We provide paid training and are willing to train someone with the right attitude and work ethic. Spanish-speaking applicants are strongly preferred.

Cafecito Social is a Guatemalan coffee shop on Bond Street in Gowanus. Our coffee is grown in Guatemala and roasted there by the people who grow it, then shipped fresh to Brooklyn. We are hiring baristas for every shift, opens through closes. We are a small team, which means the person on shift runs the shop: espresso, register, pastry case, restocking, cleaning, counting the drawer, receiving deliveries, and filling in the shift log before you leave. Requirements: Previous experience in a busy cafe or restaurant. Weekend availability. Opening shifts start at 6 AM. NYC Food Handler's License, in hand before your first shift. This is not negotiable. Able to lift 30 lbs. Reliability above all. If you cannot work a scheduled shift, you find your own coverage and tell me who is taking it. $18 to $21 an hour plus tips, paid weekly. 16 to 35 hours per week.
