Job Title: General Manager
Summary:
Leading by example, general managers or operating partners will train, oversee, and perform duties of team members as well as all other duties and responsibilities of management.  Provides exceptional customer service and ensures customer satisfaction with all aspects of the restaurant experience. Making sure the team and shop runs smoothly by preforming the following duties. 
Duties and Responsibilities: (Duties will evolve with growth)

  1. Compliant with all Corporate Operational practices/weekly schedule and truly agrees with the importance of following these practices.
  2. Manager shift duties - Open and close the shop on time based on The Baked Bear operations guidelines, close down the register at the end of the night and balance drawer, make deposit, create change order and record petty cash over/under. Bakes cookies according to store procedures. Delegates and ensures deep cleaning, store organization, inventory rotation are being followed. 
  3. Works the front of the house and line with the team - Greets customers in a courteous manner as they enter the store. Applies knowledge of the Baked Bear products and assists customers through the ordering process. Takes orders and prepares menu items promptly and in accordance with customer requests. Operates the POS system and cash register properly with each transaction. 
  4. Bake cookies according to store procedures and par sheets. Mix cookie dough as needed if baker is not available. 
  5. Adheres to all company policies in a professional and timely manner.
  6. Applies knowledge of food handling requirements.
  7. Possess a serve safe managers food handlers certificate and keep a file of all other employees food handlers cards. 
  8. Schedule all employee shifts and cover in any absence. Perform weekly scheduling based on MRKT template to ensure effective labor costs. 
  9. Perform all food and paper ordering as well as cookie of the month ingredients, misc. office supplies, MRKT and eTundra items.  
  10. Vendor relations and communication – Sysco, Edward Don, Cintas, Cleaning Floor Crew, ect.
  11. Maintenance and repairs – grease trap, refrigeration and AC company, pest control, ect. 
  12. Banking, invoices, and mail.
  13. Handle sales and operations for catering component of business.
  14. Arrange team, management and/or bakery meetings for company moral and maintaining company processes and continued team development. 
  15. Handles customer complaints, resolving issues in a diplomatic and courteous manner.
  16. Hiring/firing – Interviews, trainings, and onboarding new hire paperwork.   
  17. Monitoring store emails and voicemails. 
  18. Bakery packet weekly adjustments and monthly updates.
  19. Work diligently with support of corporate team when any questions arise. 
  20. If applicable – run payroll, timecards, and tips if owner/HR department is not. 

Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty in an exemplary fashion. You must be professional, punctual, computer literate and demonstrate exceptional customer service and multi-tasking skills. Should have a strong work ethic and leadership qualities as well as organization and communication skills. This person should also have a very outgoing and friendly personality.
