
Position Overview:
The Executive Chef is responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food production, maintaining kitchen efficiency, and leading the culinary team. This role involves menu creation, cost control, staff management, and maintaining food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop creative, seasonal, and cost-effective menus
Oversee daily kitchen operations and ensure consistent food quality
Supervise, train, and mentor kitchen staff, including sous chefs and line cooks
Manage food inventory, ordering, and supplier relationships
Control food and labor costs to meet budget targets
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations
Monitor portion control and minimize waste
Collaborate with management on pricing, promotions, and special events
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment
Qualifications:
Proven experience as an Executive Chef or Head Chef
Strong leadership and team management skills
Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques and kitchen operations
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
