Freelance Floral Designer – Events & Weddings
We are seeking an experienced floral designer to join our team on a freelance, per-project basis for luxury weddings and events. This role is ideal for someone confident in executing elevated designs in a fast-paced, production-driven environment.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of professional floral design experience (events/weddings required)
- Strong experience with high centerpieces, large-scale arrangements, and floral installations
- Ability to work efficiently under tight timelines and fast-paced production schedules
- Confident in floral mechanics, recipe execution, and installations
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to maintain design quality under pressure
Responsibilities:
- Design and produce centerpieces, ceremony pieces, and large-scale installations
- Execute floral recipes accurately and consistently
- Assist with event setup, on-site installs, and breakdown
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace during production
Schedule & Logistics:
- Project-based work with scheduling confirmed in advance
- Production/prep days take place throughout the week leading up to each event
- Event days require on-site installation and breakdown
- Events are primarily located between NYC and South Jersey
- Travel is required on event days
Preferred:
- Experience with luxury or high-volume event production
- Knowledge of floral processing and care
- Valid driver’s license a plus
