Maintains business office inventory and equipment by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders for supplies, verifying receipt of supplies, and scheduling equipment service and repairs. Protects patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information. Maintains operations by following policies and procedures, reporting needed changes. Full Job Description We are a busy pediatric dental office looking for a Dental Receptionist. Customer service experience (required), must be reliable, have great attention to detail, able to work with others, willing to learn, must be comfortable using a computer and talking over the phone. (Knowledge of Dentrix, Visix and insurances is preferred). Responsibilities of a Dental Receptionist: Making sure waiting area and front desk are presentable. Greeting patients as they arrive, checking-in and checking-out patients. Answering phones, returning phone calls from voicemail messages. Scheduling appointments and confirming next day appointments. Completing and filing insurance forms. Collecting balances and new service payments. Office duties include document filing, scanning and faxing. Acting as a point of communication between patient and providers when needed.
