ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (other duties may be assigned) • Assisting, supporting, training and developing kitchen team members., • Preparing fish, meats, and other food items according to recipes and company standards., • Overseeing work of other kitchen team members., • Inspecting all food sent from the kitchen visually., • Ensuring compliance with food safety, cleanliness and sanitation standards., • Preparing requisitions for food and supplies, as needed., • Assisting with menu development.QUALIFICATIONS, • Two or more years of related culinary experience, including supervisory experience, is strongly preferred., • Kansas City Food Handler permit is required. ABILITIES, • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays to meet business needs., • Ability to demonstrate knowledge of menu and all food products., • Ability to communicate effectively., • Ability to stand for extended periods of time., • Ability to make continuous and repetitive arm-hand movements (i.e. slicing or chopping food)., • Ability to bend or stoop repeatedly during the shift (i.e. removing items from stoves, ovens and refrigerators)., • Ability to lift and carry between 20-50 lbs over short distances (20 feet or less).COMPENSATION, • $20.00 - $25.00 per hour starting pay., • $500 bonus after your first 90 days.BENEFITS, • Competitive pay - with the opportunity for annual reviews and increases., • Travel benefits at Hilton properties around the world for you and your friends and family., • Paid time off for vacations, holidays and other personal concerns., • Comprehensive benefits package - including medical, dental and vision insurance programs.
