The HVAC Supervisor oversees HVAC commercial services by guiding staff, ensuring project completion to trade standards, identifying repair needs, managing system operations and programming, and supporting other skilled trades. This is a 12-month position. The HVAC Supervisor is eligible for benefits as listed below. Benefits • Medical, Dental & Vision insurance with zero premium options, • 100% district paid life insurance, and short term & long-term disability options, • Generous time off policy Hours • Monday through Friday, • Hours: 7:00 am – 3:30 pm (may vary based on need) Job Duties of an HVAC Supervisor • Analyzes blueprints and schematics to identify HVAC system locations and ensure efficient installation., • Diagnoses, installs, maintains, and repairs HVAC systems, including troubleshooting and fabricating specialty parts., • Assists, supervises, and mentors HVAC technicians by assigning tasks, setting priorities, evaluating performance, and building skills and safety awareness., • Coordinates with administration, other trades, and supervisor to manage daily maintenance, complete projects efficiently, and maintain district facilities., • Communicates with staff to address system issues, provide updates, explain technical matters, and ensure excellent customer service., • Estimates materials/equipment, orders supply, and transports tools to job sites to ensure timely and efficient project completion., • Implements and participates in preventive maintenance programs, including inspections, scheduled work orders, and compliance with district and regulatory standards., • Inspects completed work to ensure quality and identify future maintenance needs., • Manages HVAC schedules for events through Facilitron scheduling software., • Monitors contract work for compliance with quality standards and terms., • Participates in meetings, trainings, and leadership development to stay informed and effective., • Responds to emergency repairs during on-call rotation to resolve immediate issues., • Prepares reports and maintains records (e.g., refrigerants, logs, time, materials)., • Recommends policies, procedures, or actions to support department goals., • Applies industry codes and standards to ensure compliance. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of practical experience with commercial HVAC equipment, preferred., • Minimum of 2 years of practical experience managing team of HVAC Technicians, preferred, • Must have a a clean driving record. and a current Missouri Class E Driver’s License, or willingness to obtain., • Successful completion of Asbestos maintenance and operations training, and Universal EPA Certification within 30 days of hire., • Must pass a pre-employment background check.
