The Role
Red Hook Detail Co. is seeking an experienced Lead PPF and Vinyl Wrap Installer to join its Brooklyn-based team. This position is open to a skilled professional with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on PPF installation experience, specifically on high-end and luxury vehicles. The role begins as a freelance 1099 contractor engagement, with a clear path to a full-time salaried position for the right candidate. Compensation is commensurate with talent, quality of work, and years of verified experience.

Responsibilities

• Install paint protection film (PPF) on luxury, exotic, and high-value vehicles to a flawless finish
• Perform full and partial vinyl wrap installations, including complex panels and contours
• Lead quality control on all wrap and PPF work leaving the shop
• Mentor junior installers and contribute to a culture of high standards
• Communicate directly with clients when needed regarding installation scope and expectations
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment in the Red Hook shop
  Requirements
• 5+ years of professional PPF installation experience, preferably on luxury or exotic vehicles
• Proficiency with leading PPF brands (XPEL, SunTek, 3M, or equivalent)
• Strong vinyl wrap installation skills across full vehicles and partial applications
• Portfolio or verifiable work history demonstrating high-end installs
• Based in or able to commute to Red Hook, Brooklyn, New York
• Self-motivated, reliable, and detail-obsessed
