


Tri-State NDT is a specialized non-destructive testing service company specializing in the inspection and testing of heating and cooling systems throughout the Tri-State area.
Established in Staten Island in 1986, Tri-State's technicians utilize a variety of non-destructive testing methods, with a primary focus on Eddy Current Testing of chillers. We are seeking an experienced Level II Ultrasonic Testing (UT) Technician with hands-on Phased Array experience who can also perform Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) and Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT) as needed.
Location: New York City (all five boroughs), New Jersey, and occasional assignments in Connecticut and surrounding areas
Pay: $25.00-$38.00 per hour, plus overtime opportunities and annual bonus eligibility (based on experience and qualifications)
Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM (some seasonal overtime and occasional overnight assignments)
You Need: A reliable vehicle (all approved travel expenses, including mileage, tolls, and parking, are reimbursed)

What You'll Actually Do
We are seeking a Level II UT Technician with hands-on experience in Phased Array inspections, as well as MT and PT examination of welds.
The ideal Level II UT Technician will be within commuting distance of New York City and capable of working independently in the field while inspecting a variety of structures and welded components.
You should be an independent thinker who can determine the most effective testing method for identifying flaws in various types of structures and weld configurations.
