We are seeking an experienced and passionate chef. The ideal candidate will have a strong culinary background. Responsibilities include preparing high-quality dishes, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring food safety standards are met. Candidates should have excellent organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Experience in a similar role is preferred.

It’s a chopped cheese location only making chopped cheeses it’s located in a busy area so the cook needs to be fast and efficient

Kitchen management: Overseeing the kitchen's operations, finances, and resources Menu creation: Developing recipes, planning menus, and ensuring quality and consistency. Staff management: Hiring, training, and supervising cooks and other food preparation workers Food preparation: Working the line and preparing dishes Safety and sanitation: Ensuring compliance with nutrition, sanitation, and safety regulations. Inventory: Ordering and maintaining an inventory of food and supplies Customer satisfaction: Dealing with issues that may arise to ensure customer satisfaction. Collaboration: Working with other leads and managers to ensure a respectful workplace Applicants must have experience in an Indian Kitchen and be willing and able to recreate specialty dishes.

Responsibilities include cooking fresh pasta to order, preparing sauces, maintaining station cleanliness, following portion standards, and ensuring every dish is consistent and high quality. Must be able to work quickly during rush hours, communicate well with the team, and keep a clean, efficient line. Experience with pasta is a plus, but not required — we can train the right person.

Must know how to follow written instructions and guidelines to complete job daily -Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment • Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.), • Keep a sanitized and orderly environment, • Ensure all food and other items are stored properly, • Must be on time, • Must be neat and well groomed all the time, • Must be polite and respectful, • Must be at work from 430am to 2pm Monday thru Friday, • Must have Legal papers to work in USA, • Must have clean background check, • 40 plus hours a week, • Overtime pay, • must have nyc food handlers certificate
