In this role, you will provide essential grooming and beauty services—including hair styling, basic manicures, and skin care—to our elderly participants. Ensure safe transfers to and from the styling chair. Sanitation & Compliance: Maintain a spotlessly clean, sanitized, and organized salon station. Strictly adhere to state cosmetology board regulations and facility health and safety protocols. Social Engagement: Build warm, trusting relationships with participants. Act as an active listener, offering a friendly and uplifting environment during their services. Collaboration: Coordinate scheduling with the program director and activities team to ensure services fit smoothly into the daily activities calendar. Qualifications & Skills License: Active and valid State Board of Cosmetology license (New York). Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of experience as a practicing cosmetologist. Experience working with seniors or in a healthcare/daycare setting is highly preferred.
