Responsibilities • Safely operate your commercial vehicle to transport freight across designated routes., • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with all regulations., • Follow planned routes accurately while adapting to traffic conditions and delivery schedules., • Maintain detailed records of deliveries, mileage logs, and vehicle maintenance reports., • Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status or any issues encountered during routes., • Ensure all freight is secured properly during transit to prevent damage or accidents. Requirements • Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the type of vehicle operated (e.g., tanker, flatbed)., • Minimum of 18 verifiable months of experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and delivery operations., • Ports experience a must., • Knowledge of safety procedures related to freight handling and vehicle operation., • Strong attention to detail for load securing and inspection processes., • Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients. As a driver, you must have a safe driving record and follow all state and national driving laws, rules, and regulations. In this position, you will follow prearranged routes to destinations or use maps and GPS to navigate routes. You will also maintain vehicle upkeep and cleanliness. Responsibilities: Following all traffic laws, DOT regulations and best practices for safety when delivering items Communicating with dispatchers, drivers, and other team members to make deliveries. Meeting delivery deadlines and following assigned delivery routes. Performing basic truck maintenance, doing visual inspections, and reporting potential issues Preparing, loading, and unloading the delivery vehicle Providing exceptional customer service and obtaining client or customer signatures when needed Completing any paperwork related to the deliveries and completing reports as required. Skills and qualifications: A valid drivers license and, in some cases, a commercial drivers license Knowledge of how to handle materials safely. Familiarity with using navigation systems. Time management to ensure deliveries are made on schedule. Excellent vision and hand-eye coordination to stay safe while driving. Ability to load and unload heavy cargo and use any machinery or equipment necessary to help. Strong customer service and communication skills A clean driving record and safe driving skills. High School Diploma. Qualification and Requirements: Have been driving for at least 3 years. Great organizational time management skills. Great customer attitude and attentiveness. Ability to operate a truck for 8 hours. Physically able to lift 50 pounds. Open to work nights and weekends as required.
