Paralegal Paralegal responsibilities include preparing, filing and coordinating service of legal documents; scheduling and managing busy calendars of multiple attorneys; organizing and maintaining litigation case files; communicating with courts, clients and attorneys; answering phone calls to the firm, as well as other administrative tasks as needed. Litigation Responsibilities • Serve as primary paralegal to multiple senior litigation attorneys, and responsible for all paralegal work on those attorneys’ cases., • Finalize, format, file and serve documents prepared by attorneys., • Prepare tables of contents and authorities for and cite-check legal documents., • E-file documents with and prepare courtesy copies for federal and state courts and ADR tribunals., • Arrange depositions (order court reporter, reserve location, confirm counsel and witness availability, etc.), and assist attorneys with deposition preparation (prepare exhibits, binders, etc.), • Serve and send legal documents by mail, email, fax, process server, etc., • Maintain attorneys’ calendars, calculate and calendar all deadlines, and calendar deposition dates, court deadlines and conferences, phone conferences, meetings, etc. Follow up with attorneys concerning upcoming deadlines., • Prepare simple legal documents using firm templates, including subpoenas, discovery demands, court forms, etc., • Compile and organize documents for client meetings, mediations, arbitrations, court conferences, depositions, trials, etc.), • Maintain physical legal files, including originals., • Maintain and organize electronic case files, including ensuring all documents filed, served and collected are downloaded and saved appropriately., • Assist as needed with document productions, including document organization and Bates stamping., • Run conflict checks, as needed., • Answer phone for firm’s main line, as needed., • Process, scan and distribute the firm’s mail, as needed. Required Experience/Skills 1-2 years prior paralegal or legal assistant experience Advanced MS Word Experience e-filing in federal courts and New York and New Jersey state courts; Pennsylvania state courts a plus Experience using law firm CRM systems, document management systems and time entry systems; NetDocs and Finance Core a plus Westlaw searches and cite-checking Superior organizational skills Attention to detail Ability to multi-task and complete multiple projects for different supervisors on a timely basis Team player with a positive attitude who is looking to grow in a fast-paced, hard-working but collegial environment Willingness to work overtime, as needed. Salary Range $60K-$80K
