Schedule: Four (4) days in-office / One (1) remote day (Friday) Overview The Commercial Real Estate Litigation Paralegal will support attorneys by conducting factual investigations, preparing legal documents, and performing legal research. This role plays a key part in supporting litigation strategy, case preparation, and ongoing legal proceedings. Key Responsibilities • Organize exhibits and supporting materials for pleadings., • Conduct legal research to support litigation matters., • Electronically file documents via NYSCEF and ECF., • Prepare correspondence and deliver courtesy copies to the court., • Serve documents on relevant parties., • Coordinate with process servers for document service., • Bate-stamp and redact documents for production using DocsCorp., • Prepare pleadings binders and maintain case files., • Organize research materials, attorney notes, and client documents., • Maintain and update the litigation case calendar., • Draft and prepare pleadings, including subpoenas, restraining notices, information subpoenas, notices of entry, notices of appeal, RJIs, notices of appearance, and notices of electronic filing., • Organize documents and materials for trial preparation., • Assemble trial binders for attorney use., • Perform administrative tasks such as scanning, organizing working documents, and general file management., • Travel to court to file documents when necessary., • Maintain both electronic and hard-copy filing systems., • Draft correspondence and respond to written and verbal inquiries., • Type, prepare, and proofread legal and related documents., • Perform additional duties as assigned. Experience & Qualifications • Minimum of 5 years of real estate paralegal experience., • Associate degree in Legal Studies or Paralegal Certification required., • Strong administrative, organizational, and time-management abilities., • Excellent writing, proofreading, and communication skills., • Proficiency with databases and tracking systems., • Highly detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously., • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines., • Capable of working independently and collaboratively., • Self-starter with initiative and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment., • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); ability to learn new software quickly., • Experience with document management software is a plus.
