  Job Description OBJECTIVES: Reporting to the Director, Programs – Head Start, the Staff, Programs – Social Service Coordinator will lead and oversee the delivery of high-quality, compliant Early Head Start and Head Start social services. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Lead and oversee the delivery of comprehensive, family-centered social services for Early Head Start and Head Start children, families, and pregnant women while ensuring alignment with federal, state, and local regulations., • Supervise program operations across home-based and center-based models, including family intake, assessment, family partnership agreements, referrals, outreach, recruitment, and enrollment to ensure full enrollment and service continuity., • Provide reflective supervision, coaching, performance evaluation, and professional development for social services staff, home visitors, interns, and volunteers as well as support hiring, onboarding, and training initiative., • Coordinate mental health, parent engagement, and community partnerships to support family well-being, safety, and self-sufficiency, including mandated child abuse prevention and intervention., • Develop and implement a parent involvement curriculum that reinforces the parents as the child’s first teacher and promotes meaningful engagement and leadership., • Facilitate parent governance and engagement activities, including Policy Council and parent meetings while ensuring compliance with EHS/HS mandates and program mission., • Maintain accurate, confidential program records and ensure readiness for program assessments, audits, and federal reviews., • Participate in continuous quality improvement efforts by monitoring service delivery, enrollment data, and staff performance while incorporating best practices in the field., • Perform other duties as assigned to support the goals and mission of the program. Position Summary: \n -The Administrative Nursing Coordinator coordinates the delivery of nursing services throughout the hospital on the evening and night shifts. \n -He/she has primary authority and responsibility for ensuring that defined standards of nursing practice and patient care are consistently adhered to on the evening and night shifts. \n -These responsibilities are accomplished through in depth knowledge of management theory, labor relations, and hospital policies and through independent, expedient, and proficient application of communication, interpersonal, interviewing and problem solving skills. \n -Promotes career development of employees. \n -Communicates important organizational information to staff in a timely manner. \n -Ensures employees have the necessary authority, latitude and resources to take action. \n -Promotes teamwork as a priority. \n -Seeks experience to expand and maintain skills and knowledge base. \n -Develops and participates in educational programs and activities, conferences, workshops, interdisciplinary professional meetings, and self-directed learning. \n -Utilizes nursing research and evidence-based practice to drive change and structure quality improvements through active involvement of nursing staff. \n -Contributes to nursing management education and professional development of staff, students and colleagues. \n -Establishes and maintains positive relationships with patients, visitors, and other employees. \n -Interacts professionally, courteously, and appropriately with patients, visitors, and other employees. \n -Behaves in a manner consistent with maintaining and furthering a positive public perception of Brookdale Hospital and its employees. \n -Responsible for the implementation of hospital's policies and procedures, as well as regulatory agencies codes and regulations as they pertain to the Department. \n -Responsible for operations and management of the units covering in collaboration with the Director. \n -Makes frequent rounds to evaluate adherence to standards of practice and patient care including hospital policies, and to make Herself/himself available to nursing personnel for support, coaching, and as clinical role model. \n -Assesses all 1:1, checks documentation of patient's restraints, observation, falls, and risk. \n -Investigates, follows up and resolves if applicable, complaints, incidents, and problems. \n -Communicates analysis, actions and recommendations to Director and/or Nurse Manager. \n -Address staffing for the shift and the oncoming shift. \n -Attend, assess (staff response to code) and monitor (enough resources) all hospital codes inclusive of code documentation. \n -Responsible for ensuring that all PCS Scope of service, Philosophy of Nursing and Ethical standards are met while delivering patient care. \n -Develops a positive rapport with team members by encouraging constructive relationships; respect, appreciates and supports the diversity of ideas, and demonstrates team effectiveness skills by acting for the good of the team. \n -Anticipates and resolves conflicts in a positive and constructive manner. \n -Responds in a timely manner to oral and written communications. \n -Resolves problems through established lines of communication. \n -Gives and accepts feedback among coworkers and management to enhance team relations. \n -Reports all patient safety issues and pertinent issues within the shift for follow-up.
