Collaborative and Rewarding Position!
Job Description: Provides adaptive behavior treatment directly to client. Treatment includes behavior modification treatment as well as providing training to client in communication, social, and adaptive skills.
Responsibilities:
- Implement behavior modification and skill acquisition programs, as directed by BCBA
- Collect data on ABA programs
- Record session notes detailing treatment
- Report successes, challenges, and questions to supervising BCBA
- File medical and crisis incident reports
- Qualifications:
- High school diploma and RBT training
- Experience in education or autism-related field
- Ability to work hands-on with 10-15 year old children
Essential Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledgeable about basic ABA terms
- Knowledgeable about data collection software
- Works collaboratively with co-workers and clients’ family
- Follows supervisor directions and treatment plan, and asks questions when needed
- Patient and compassionate, especially while working with clients exhibiting challenging behaviors
- Goal-oriented and organized
- Consistent and reliable
- Acts professionally in a variety of environments
- Flexible and adaptable to changing circumstances and the needs of the client
