Responsibilities: Safely drive a Class A commercial vehicle, picking up and delivering containers between the NY/NJ ports and designated yard or customer locations. Operate both manual and automatic transmissions as required. Ensure proper loading and unloading of containers. Maintain a clean driving record and adhere to safety protocols at all times. Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and operational efficiency. Ensure timely deliveries and pickups as scheduled. Maintain accurate logs and records of deliveries and driving hours. Requirements: CDL Class A Driver’s License is required. Must possess a TWIC card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential). 2 years of experience working at ports or in container transportation. Ability to work efficiently under pressure, meeting deadlines and following schedules. Strong attention to detail and safety-conscious. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
