



Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and creative Sushi Chef to prepare high-quality sushi and Japanese dishes. The ideal candidate has strong knife skills, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering fresh, visually appealing, and delicious food while maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare a variety of sushi dishes, including nigiri, sashimi, maki rolls, and specialty rolls
Select and handle fresh fish, seafood, rice, and other ingredients
Maintain proper food safety and sanitation standards
Ensure consistent presentation and quality of all dishes
Manage prep work, including cutting fish and preparing sauces
Monitor inventory and communicate supply needs
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and sushi bar areas
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations
Create new menu items or seasonal specials when needed
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or similar role
Knowledge of Japanese cuisine and sushi preparation techniques
Excellent knife-handling skills
Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and presentation
Team player with good communication skills
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Preferred Qualifications:
Formal culinary training or certification
Experience in a high-volume restaurant
Creativity in menu development
