Pearl East, a well-established and highly regarded restaurant on Long Island, is seeking a skilled Sushi Chef to join our team. We are looking for someone who is passionate about quality, consistency, and presentation, and who can work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen.
Schedule:
- Sunday – Friday: 11:00 AM – 9:30 PM
- Saturday: 4:00 PM – 10:30 PM
- One day off per week
Responsibilities:
- Prepare sushi, sashimi, and specialty rolls with precision and consistency
- Maintain high standards of food safety and cleanliness
- Manage fish preparation and ingredient quality
- Ensure beautiful presentation of dishes
- Work efficiently during busy service hours
- Maintain an organized sushi station
Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a sushi chef required
- Strong knife skills and knowledge of fish preparation
- Ability to work quickly while maintaining quality
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Team player with a positive attitude
