Aquatics Director1 day agoPart-timeCliffside ParkJob Title: Aquatics Director Location: Palisadium Swim and Gym Job Type: Full-time About Us: We are an elite swimming pool and gym with a juice bar, an elite swim team, and group and private classes and lessons. We are seeking an experienced Aquatics Director to manage and oversee all aspects of our aquatic programs and operations. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the daily operations of the aquatics facility, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for all members. Develop, implement, and manage swim programs, including group and private swim lessons, swim team activities, and special aquatic events. Lead and mentor a team of lifeguards, swim instructors, and support staff, ensuring staff are well-trained and certified. Create and manage class schedules, events, and programs to meet member demand. Maintain compliance with all health and safety regulations, including pool maintenance and water quality checks. Manage the budget for the aquatics department, including payroll, equipment purchases, and program development. Handle member concerns and feedback, ensuring high levels of satisfaction. Collaborate with the marketing team to promote swim programs and events. Qualifications: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in aquatic management or a similar role. Certified Lifeguard, with CPR/AED and First Aid certifications (WSI or USA Swimming certification preferred). Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage a team effectively. Experience in scheduling, staff supervision, and program development. Knowledge of pool operations, water safety, and health regulations. Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in sports management, physical education, or related field. Previous experience managing a large aquatics facility. We are seeking a responsible and experienced Lifeguard to join our team, with a preference for candidates holding Water Safety Instructor (WSI) or USA Swimming certification. Key Responsibilities: Ensure the safety of all swimmers by monitoring pool activity. Enforce pool rules and regulations consistently and professionally. Provide immediate response and care in emergency situations. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pool area. Assist in setting up equipment and ensuring proper functioning of pool facilities. Conduct safety checks of equipment and pool chemicals as needed. Preferred Qualifications: Lifeguard certification (American Red Cross or equivalent) – Required. Water Safety Instructor (WSI) or USA Swimming certification – Strongly preferred. CPR/AED and First Aid certification – Required. Strong swimming skills and knowledge of pool safety procedures.
