Our more than 4,000 diverse, passionately committed team members in New York City and around the world work collectively to achieve our conservation mission. ob Summary Under general supervision performs responsible work in the maintenance and operation of mechanical and electrical systems including but not limited to combustion engines, pumps, valves, process equipment, heating, electric distribution equipment, electric and pneumatic controls associated with the Cogen and buildings on the Cogen thermal loop. Principal Responsibilities Perform the required tasks in order to properly start and run the Cogen engines, generate and distribute electricity, generate and distribute thermal energy to the Cogen thermal loop. Assist outside technicians in the service of Cogen related equipment. Monitor equipment operation, take readings, keep records and prepare reports associated with the Cogen operation. Monitor alarm panel, take necessary action relative to the alarms, keep records and prepare reports. Maintain the appearance of the work environment. Painting and cleaning will be required as necessary. Must work from a 40-foot ladder. Performs related work as required. Qualification Requirements High School Diploma (5) years’ experience in a related technical field or acceptable technical training. Must exhibit an understanding of electricity, process piping and combustion engines and the ability to work with tools. Location: Qahawa Valley Cafe Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated full-time Barista for the opening of Qahawa Valley Cafe. As a key team member, you will play a crucial role in creating exceptional coffee experiences for our customers. Responsibilities: - Skillfully present beverages, ensuring they are visually appealing and reflect the quality of our cafe. - Assist in creating seasonal or special menu items, showcasing creativity in beverage presentation. - Making drinks Baristas prepare coffee, tea, and other drinks, and may also handle food. They may also create new specialty drinks. - Customer service Baristas greet customers, answer questions, and provide friendly service. They may also get to know regular customers and their orders. - Inventory Baristas keep track of inventory and order supplies as needed. Qualifications: - Drive-through barista experience is a must at least 2 years as Baristas in coffee houses, cafes, roasteries, or large cafe chains. - Genuine interest and passion for coffee and tea. - Strong customer service and communication skills. - Great attitude and pride in work. - Ability to problem-solve quickly and handle multiple tasks. - Responsible team player who can take initiative. Other Requirements: - Availability to work around peak hours, including nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays. - Must retain reasonably open availability to meet the current needs of the shop. - Willingness to work as part of a high-energy, efficient team in a fast-paced environment. - Cleaning Baristas keep their work stations and the establishment clean and sanitized. They may also wash dishes and equipment.  * Cash handling Baristas operate cash registers and card machines, and collect cash or credit card payments. - Training Baristas may participate in regular training to learn new recipes and improve their coffee knowledge.
