Job Description Smart Home Integration Technician / Installer LIDIFI Fort Lauderdale FL Luxury New Construction — From the Dirt to the Doorbell LIDIFI is expanding and selectively hiring elite Smart Home Technicians as well as entry-level installers who want exposure to the highest tier of residential technology in the industry. We are not a volume shop. We are a full-service smart home contractor in new construction. That means our team is on the project from the very beginning — placing conduit, coordinating slab and rough-in work — all the way through final trim, programming, commissioning, and white-glove system handoff. On our projects, LIDIFI is the only low-voltage and integration contractor involved from start to finish, aside from the General Contractor. There are no handoffs, no patchwork scopes, and no cleaning up after other shops. This approach produces cleaner systems, better outcomes, and technicians who truly understand how high-end homes are built. A Different Kind of Shop LIDIFI operates with a small, specialized team executing low project counts with massive scope and scale in the ultra-luxury residential market. Our technicians work hands-on with systems and environments that most integrators only see in magazines, manufacturer demos, or trade shows. If you already have the skills, we pay above industry average. If you are capable, driven, and want real exposure, we will pay you above average to train you and develop you into an elite team member. We run a tight, fair operation built around craftsmanship, accountability, and respect for the people doing the work. If you are the type who takes pride in precision, notices details others miss, and has felt under-recognized or underpaiddespite consistently going above the call of duty — this is the environment you’ve been looking for. A Different Kind of Career Path We don’t believe in capping ambition. Technicians at LIDIFI gain exposure to the entire lifecycle of a luxury build — from infrastructure planning and execution to final system tuning and client handoff. This level of involvement prepares professionals for leadership roles, advanced technical mastery, and long-term career growth. Some advance within our organization. Others eventually go on to build teams or ventures of their own. We take pride in developing professionals who operate at the top of their craft. Compensation & Incentives • $30–$38 per hour, based on experience, • Uncapped commission and performance bonus potential, • A matched rate, • A minimum 10% increase Because of this model, our team remains small, specialized, and highly paid. Openings are limited. Once positions are filled, this listing is removed. Compensation, bonuses, and pay-match determinations are based on verified experience, role fit, and internal leveling, and are finalized in a written offer of employment only. What You’ll Work On • Full-scope smart home integration in new construction, • Conduit layout, slab coordination, and structured rough-in, • Motorized shades and lighting control systems, • High-end residential networking and Wi-Fi, • Audio / video systems and control integration, • Security, surveillance, and access systems, • System programming, commissioning, and optimization, • Client walkthroughs, training, and white-glove handoff Experienced Technicians • 4+ years hands-on experience in smart home integration or low-voltage systems, • 2+ years installing and programming motorized shades in luxury homes, • Comfort working across rough-in, trim, and final commissioning phases, • Strong understanding of lighting, networking, A/V, and security systems, • Clean workmanship and pride in precision, • Strong work ethic and attention to detail, • Willingness to learn both infrastructure and finish-level work, • Interest in high-end residential construction and technology, • Take-home company vehicle with fuel card, • Laptop, mobile phone, and uniforms, • Medical, dental, and vision insurance, • 401(k) retirement plan, • Paid time off, • Ability to lift 50 lbs and work from ladders, • Ability to work in confined spaces (attics, crawl spaces, closets), • Valid Florida driver’s license with clean driving record, • New candidates: Review the role details and apply with your resume.
