Job Description Carolyn’s Soul Food is expanding and we’re hiring a reliable Lunch/Dinner Customer Service & Food Handler to join our team. This is a full-time position working Wednesday through Sunday, 12pm–8pm. We’re looking for someone friendly, fast, and dependable who can take orders, pack-out food, handle delivery pickups, and assist in the kitchen during rushes. Responsibilities * Take customer orders (in-person & online) with great hospitality * Run the register and ensure accurate order entry * Package lunch & dinner orders quickly and neatly * Maintain a clean and organized front counter and dining area * Assist with side prep, stocking, and setting up stations * Support delivery handoff and manage order flow during busy hours * Work closely with the grill and fry cooks to keep ticket times low Requirements * Customer service or restaurant experience preferred * Must be reliable, fast, and able to multitask * Comfortable working in a fast-paced food environment * Ability to work Wed–Sun, 12pm–8pm * Strong communication and teamwork skills * Food handling experience is a plus Why You’ll Love Working Here * Consistent weekly schedule * Supportive, family-owned environment * Opportunities for growth as we expand breakfast and dinner service * Real responsibility and a key role in the guest experience PAY INFORMATION Pay Type: Hourly $16–$17 per hour Frequency: Hourly Company DescriptionCarolyn’s Soul Food is a family-owned restaurant serving high-quality comfort food to our Jersey City community.
