Job DescriptionHuman Resource Generalist The Human Resource Generalist supports core HR functions across the organization, ensuring compliance, effective operations, and a positive employee experience. This role is involved in recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, HRIS maintenance, and ongoing HR programs. This is a Contract to Hire opportunity located near McHenry, IL. Key Responsibilities • Manage job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and offers, • Conduct new hire orientation and support onboarding and offboarding processes, • Partner with hiring managers to fulfill staffing needs, • Serve as a point of contact for employee questions and policy guidance, • Support employee relations matters, investigations, and performance discussions, • Contribute to employee engagement and culture?building initiatives, • Administer health, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement plans, • Assist employees with benefit enrollment and inquiries, • Manage FMLA, LOA, and workers' compensation processes, • Maintain accurate employee records in HR systems, • Process employee changes such as promotions, transfers, and status updates, • Prepare HR reports and assist with audits, • Ensure alignment with federal, state, and local employment laws, • Maintain HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook updates, • Support HR projects, training initiatives, and organizational compliance efforts Qualifications, • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred, • 2-5+ years of HR generalist experience, • Knowledge of employment law, HRIS systems, and HR best practices, • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms (e.g., ADP, Paylocity) Job Details:, • Contract to Hire, • 100% onsite, • Pay $28-$32 an hour depending on experience If you are interested, please apply and submit your resume.
